Charcoal Grilled Okra with Sour Cream
Ingredients
1 lb of fresh okra | ||
extra virgin oil | ||
kosher salt and fresh cracked black pepper to taste | ||
1 cup sour cream | ||
juice from 1 lemon | ||
2 cloves garlic, finely minced | ||
kosher salt and fresh cracked black pepper to taste | ||
small handful of parsley chopped, leaves only |
Charcoal grilling transforms okra into a new tasting vegetable,that even non okra lovers enjoy.The okra gets brown and is slightly crisp. This is a great finger food appetizer.
- Trim stems ends of the okra.
- Pour olive oil onto a bowl, add some salt and pepper and coat the okra, lightly.
- Cook okra over a charcoal grill for about 10 minutes, turning frequently’until slightly crispy.
- Mix the ingredients for the sauce.
- Serve on a platter with sauce for dipping.
