Charcoal Grilled Okra with Sour Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 lb of fresh okra
  • extra virgin oil
  • kosher salt and fresh cracked black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • juice from 1 lemon
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • kosher salt and fresh cracked black pepper to taste
  • small handful of parsley chopped, leaves only
Charcoal grilling transforms okra into a new tasting vegetable,that even non okra lovers enjoy.The okra gets brown and is slightly crisp. This is a great finger food appetizer.
  • Trim stems ends of the okra.
  • Pour olive oil onto a bowl, add some salt and pepper and  coat the okra, lightly.
  • Cook okra over a charcoal grill for about 10 minutes, turning frequently’until slightly crispy.
  • Mix the ingredients for the sauce.
  • Serve on a platter with sauce for dipping.
