Spicy Diablo Shrimp
Ingredients
1 cup diced celery | ||
1/2 lb of shrimp, peeled and deveined | ||
1 cup sour cream | ||
1/4 cup chili sauce | ||
2 tbs horseradish | ||
1/2 tsp dry mustard | ||
1 tsp oregano | ||
1/2 medium onion, diced | ||
Salad greens | ||
1 medium tomato, cut into wedges | ||
Salad greens | ||
kosher salt and fresh cracked black pepper to taste | ||
Garnish with chopped chives or chopped green scallions |
This shrimp salad recipe uses small shrimp which is dressed with a horseradish and chili sauce dressing. The salad is served over a bed of lettuce garnished with ripe tomato wedges or scallions.
- Combine celery and shrimp in a large bowl.
- Combine sour cream, chili sauce, horseradish, mustard, oregano and onion in a small bowl. Season with salt and pepper and mix well.
- Pour dressing over pasta mixture and toss until well blended.
- Chill and serve on a bed of crisp green and garnish with tomato wedges.
