Blackberry Sauce
Ingredients
1 and 1/2cups water | ||
1 and 1/2 pints of fresh or frozen blackberries | ||
1 and 1/2 cups sugar | ||
2 tbs corn starch | ||
1/8 tsp salt | ||
2 tsp lemon juice |
Perfect drizzled over cake, pie or ice cream.
- Place water in a large saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil.
- Add berries and bring to a boil again.
- In a small bowl mix sugar, cornstarch and salt.
- Stir this into the berries and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
- Stir in lemon juice.
- Allow to cool.
