Blueberry Pie

Ingredients

  • pastry for pie crust
  • 4 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tbs sugar
  • 1/2 tsp grated lemon peel
  • dash of salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbs butter
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • Line a 9 inch pie plate with pastry.
  • Combine remaining ingredients and fill pie shell.
  • Sprinkle with lemon juice and dot with 1 tbs of butter.
  • Place top crust over pie and seal well. Cut several slits in the top.
  • Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
