Down South Barbecue Basting and Dipping Sauce
Ingredients
1 gallon of water | ||
1 and 2/3 cup Worcestershire sauce | ||
1/3 cup brown sugar | ||
1 tsp MSG | ||
1 tsp ground allspice | ||
1 tbs garlic powder | ||
2 tbs lemon juice | ||
1 and 2/3 cup vinegar | ||
Kosher salt and black pepper to taste | ||
1 tbs red pepper flakes |
- Combine all the ingredients in a sauce pan and bring to a boil.
- Remove from the heat and use to baste meat while cooking.
- Use the rest as a dip for pork, beef or chicken.
- Recipe may be halved.
