Western North Carolina Barbecue Sauce
Ingredients
| 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar | ||
| 1 tsp salt | ||
| 1 tsp celery seed | ||
| 1/2 tsp cinnamon | ||
| 1/2 cup ketchup | ||
| 1/2 tsp chili powder | ||
| 1/8 tsp nutmeg | ||
| 1/2 tsp brown sugar | ||
| 1 cup water |
- Mix all ingredients in a sauce pan.
- Bring to a boil, then remove from the heat.
- Use as a basting or table sauce.
- Recipe may be doubled or tripled.
