Enchilada Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup canola oil
  • 2 tbs kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbs cumin
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 2 and 1/2 cups water
  • 1 tbs garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup hot chili powder
  • In a sauce pan heat oil using medium heat.
  • Add the flour and stir constantly for about 3 minutes or until flour is well combined.
  • Add the tomato paste and stir to combine.
  • Add liquids and seasonings and simmer for 30 minutes.
