Sweet and Tangy Cabbage Soup
Ingredients
Ingredients: Hanukkah Sweet and Tangy Cabbage Soup: 1 medium cabbage, thinly sliced 3 and 1/4 cups diced tomatoes, un-drained 2 and 1/2 cups beef stock 2 cups water 1 cup onion, chopped 1 cup tomato sauce 2 tbs sugar 2 tbs cider vinegar 2 tsp kosher salt 1 tsp black pepper 1/3 cup golden raisins | ||
3 and 1/4 cups diced tomatoes, un-drained | ||
2 and 1/2 cups beef stock | ||
2 cups water | ||
1 cup onion, chopped | ||
1 cup tomato sauce | ||
2 tbs sugar | ||
2 tbs cider vinegar | ||
2 tsp kosher salt | ||
1 tsp black pepper | ||
1/3 cup golden raisins |
- Combine cabbage, tomatoes with juice, beef stock, water, onion, tomato sauce, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper in a large sauce pan.
- Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 1 hour.
- Add raisins and cook for 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
- Serve hot.
