Sweet and Tangy Cabbage Soup

Ingredients

  • Ingredients: Hanukkah Sweet and Tangy Cabbage Soup: 1 medium cabbage, thinly sliced 3 and 1/4 cups diced tomatoes, un-drained 2 and 1/2 cups beef stock 2 cups water 1 cup onion, chopped 1 cup tomato sauce 2 tbs sugar 2 tbs cider vinegar 2 tsp kosher salt 1 tsp black pepper 1/3 cup golden raisins
  • 3 and 1/4 cups diced tomatoes, un-drained
  • 2 and 1/2 cups beef stock
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tbs sugar
  • 2 tbs cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/3 cup golden raisins
  • Combine cabbage, tomatoes with juice, beef stock, water, onion, tomato sauce, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper in a large sauce pan.
  • Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 1 hour.
  • Add raisins and cook for 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
  • Serve hot.
