Caribbean Tamarind Sauce

Ingredients

1/2 cup tamarind pulp (available at Caribbean and Asian markets)
1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1 medium onion, minced
1 garlic, clove chopped
1 tsp Habanaero hot sauce
2 tsp fresh cilantro chopped

This sauce is a wonderful the is perfect spread over seafood or chicken.

Directions:
  • Add all ingredients to a food processor and process until smooth.
  • Serve over chicken or fish.
