Herring in Cream Sauce
Ingredients
2 (8oz) jars pickled herring | ||
3/4 pint sour cream | ||
4 tbs liquid from herring | ||
1/4 cup heavy cream | ||
3 tbs sugar | ||
1 spanish onion, thinly sliced |
Directions:
- Drain herring and pat dry, reserving liquid from the jar.
- Blend together the sour cream, 4 tbs of the reserved liquid, cream and sugar.
- Add the onion and herring, stir to coat with the sauce and refrigerate until ready to serve.
