Chinese Five Spice Powder

Ingredients

  • 1 tbs Szechuan peppercorns
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tbs ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbs fennel seeds
  • 4 whole star anise

Chinese five spice power is an essential ingredient used in Chinese cooking. It is best when freshly made. Use in small amounts as it is very pungent.

Directions:
  • Place ingredients in a food processor or spice grinder.
  • Process until finely ground and blended.
  • Store in an airtight jar.
