Mustard Glazed Ham Steaks
Ingredients
4 boneless ham steaks, 1/2 inch thick | ||
5 tbs brown sugar | ||
1 tbs dry mustard | ||
1 tsp onion salt | ||
2 tsp soy sauce | ||
2 tsp lemon juice | ||
1 cup unsweetened pineapple juice | ||
1 can (8 oz) pineapple slices (optional) |
- Combine the brown sugar, dry mustard, onion salt, soy sauce and lemon juice in a small sauce pan.
- Mix until smooth.
- Add the pineapple juice and mix well.
- Simmer sauce for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Place the ham steaks on the grill three to four inches above medium coals.
- Cook for 30 minutes, turning the steaks every five minutes and brushing with the sauce.
- Serve the steaks with the sauce.
- Garnish with grilled pineapple slices if desired.
