Ingredients

  • V-8 vegetable juice
  • Vodka, Gin, light or dark rum
  • 1 Garlic clove chopped
  • 1/4 bulb of fennel chopped
  • 1 tbs celery seed
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 3 tbs lemon juice
  • 1 tbs hot sauce
  • 1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
  • 1tbs prepared horseradish
  • 1tsp fresh cracked black pepper
Here is the ultimate Bloody Mary. Food So Good Mall Guaranteed! Forget about the Bloody Mary mix. Once you taste this concoction you will never settle for anything less. Now this version begins with a base of V-8 vegetable juice. The interesting part about this recipe is that it gives you a wide range of options. Bloody Mary’s are traditionally made with Vodka but what we have discovered through much experimentation that gin and even light or dark rum work equally as well. We are listing our favorite Bloody Mary ingredients and leaving room for you to make you  own interpretations.  You may increase or decrease the amount of alcohol (4 servings). Serve these for brunch or at your Halloween party.

Note: mix ratio 3 parts mix to 1 part alcohol

Garnish:
You may choose from the following to garnish your individual drinks. Use your imagination.

  • Lemon or lime wedges
  • Celery stalks
  • Fennel fronds
  • Pickled vegetables
  • Hot peppers
  • Pimento stuffed olives

Directions: 

  • Place all ingredients in a blender and blend well.
  • Pour over ice in individual glasses garnish and serve.
