Indian Raita
Ingredients
2 cucumbers | ||
1 small yellow onion | ||
2 cups plain yogurt | ||
Kosher salt and fresh cracked black pepper to taste | ||
1 tbs chopped fresh mint or 2 tbs of crushed dried mint |
This is and Indian recipe that uses Grated cucumbers and yogurt. It has cooling properties and is very refreshing salad and or dip to serve with spicy foods.
- Peel cucumbers and grate coarsely.
- Grate onion.
- Add cucumbers and onion to yogurt.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Add mint.
- Chill thoroughly before serving.
