Classic Saffron Rice
Ingredients
1 cup of jasmine rice | ||
1 and 1/2 cups chicken stock | ||
1 tbs of butter | ||
1/2 small onion, finely minced | ||
1 tsp kosher salt | ||

Saffron is the most expensive spice in the world. It just takes a little to do a lot. This recipe is sure to become one of you favorites. Serves 4.
- Place butter and minced onion in a medium saucepan.
- Saute over medium heat until the onion is translucent.
- Add the rice, saffron, stock and salt and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to simmer.
- Cover and cook rice until liquid is absorbed. About 15 minutes.
