Crispy Breaded Cheese Ravioli with Red Pepper Dipping Sauce
Ingredients
1 lb of store brought fresh cheese ravioli (available at most grocery stores) | ||
1 cup of Italian seasoned bread crumb | ||
1 cup of Italian seasoned bread crumb | ||
1/4 cup flour | ||
1 tsp dried basil | ||
1 tsp garlic powder | ||
4 eggs, beaten | ||
2 tbs unsalted butter, divided | ||
2 tbs extra virgin olive oil, divided | ||
Fresh basil, torn | ||
Roasted red pepper cream sauce |
This recipe uses store brought fresh cheese ravioli that is fried to crispy goodness and dipped in a creamy red roasted red pepper dipping sauce.
Directions:
- Combine bread crumbs, cheese, flour, basil and garlic powder in bowl.
- Dip ravioli in eggs, then dip in bread crumbs to coat.
- Set on a baking sheet and repeat will all remaining ravioli.
- Heat 1 tbs of butter and 1 tbs of olive oil in a saute pan over high heat.
- Add ravioli and cook on each side for 1 to 2 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
- Repeat with remaining ravioli, adding butter and oil as needed.
- Serve with red pepper dipping sauce.
- Garnish with basil pieces.
- You may also use marinara sauce for dipping.
