Hawaiian Kahlua Pork

Ingredients

5 lb pork butt roast
2 tbs liquid smoke flavoring
3 tsp kosher salt
3 tsp fresh cracked black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp garlic powder
This a Hawaiian version of pulled pork that is slow cooked in the oven. Serve with grilled pineapple, yams and poi.
  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  • Rub liquid smoke into the pork.
  • Mix 1 and 1/2 of the salt, black pepper, garlic and onion power. Rub all over the pork.
  • Wrap well in foil and seal completely.
  • Place in a roasting pan.
  • Cook in the oven at 325 degrees or until the internal temperature is 160 degrees. About 5 hours.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool before  shredding.
  • Sprinkle the shredded meat with the remaining 1 tbs of salt.
