Tuna Burger
Ingredients
1 lb of sushi grade tuna | ||
1/4 cup onion, finely minced | ||
2 cloves garlic minced | ||
1 egg beaten | ||
1 tbs Dijon mustard | ||
1/4 cup dill, chopped | ||
1 tbs lemon juice | ||
zest from 1 lemon | ||
1 tbs lime juice | ||
zest from 1 lime | ||
1 tsp kosher salt | ||
1 tsp white pepper | ||
2 tbs olive oil | ||
4 brioche rolls | ||
4 leaves butter lettuce | ||
4 slices of red onion | ||
4 slices of tomato | ||
mayonnaise for dressing, optional |
This is a wonderful fish burger that is made with tuna and spices. You may alternatively use sword fish or Marlin as well. Makes 4 (1/4 lb) burgers. You may alternatively marinate whole tuna steaks as pictured.
- Add all ingredients except for the rolls, onion, lettuce and mayonnaise to a bowl of a food processor.
- Pulse until combined completely.
- Toast brioche rolls in oven
- Cover mixture and place in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Form mixture into 4 patties.
- Add olive oil to a saute pan. Using medium high heat saute the patties only until medium rare. Turning once.
- Add patties to toasted brioche buns along with lettuce and a slice of red onion.
- Dress with mayonnaise if desired.
