Classic Tartar Sauce


  • 1 cup of mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup pickle relish, drained
  • 1 tbs lemon juice
  • 1 tbs drained capers, chopped
  • 1 tbs fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp onion, grated
  • pinch of salt
This is a classic Tartar sauce that is perfect with fried seafood.


  • Combine all ingredients and mix well
  • Refrigerate covered for several hours to allow flavors to mingle.
  • Allow to return to room temperature before serving.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if desired.
