Charcoal Roasted Vidalia Onions

Ingredients

4 large Vidalia onions, skin on
1/4 cup olive oil
kosher salt for sprinkling

Grilling these onions over charcoal makes them super sweet.

  • Heat coals on a charcoal until grey.
  • Rub onions all over with olive oil.
  • Sprinkle salt over each onion.
  • Place whole onions over charcoal and cook for 30 to 40 minutes, turning frequently.
  • Outside of onions should beĀ charred.
  • Remove charred skin, slice and serve.
