Cheddar Cheese Sauce
- 4 tbs butter
- 1/4 cup sifted flour
- 2 and 1/2 cups milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp dry mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 lb of sharp cheddar cheese, shredded. (more if you like it thicker or less if you like it thinner)
This is a sauce that you can use in Mac and cheese, atop English muffins, over casseroles or over mixed vegetables.
- Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan over low heat or you may use a double boiler.
- Stir until cheese melts and ingredients are combined.
