Cheddar Cheese Sauce
Ingredients
4 tbs butter | ||
1/4 cup sifted flour | ||
2 and 1/2 cups milk | ||
1 tsp salt | ||
1/2 tsp dry mustard | ||
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce | ||
1/4 lb of sharp cheddar cheese, shredded. (more if you like it thicker or less if you like it thinner) |
This is a sauce that you can use in Mac and cheese, atop English muffins, over casseroles or over mixed vegetables.
- Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan over low heat or you may use a double boiler.
- Stir until cheese melts and ingredients are combined.
