Chinese Hot Mustard
Ingredients
1/2 cup dry mustard | ||
1/3 cup cold water | ||
1/8 tsp canola oil |
This homemade version of hot mustard is much better than the stuff in those little plastic packets.
It is great with fried foods, egg rolls and shrimp.

- Place mustard in a bowl.
- Gradually stir in cold water until smooth.
- Stir in oil.
- Cover and let stand for 1 hour to allow the flavors to mellow.
- Use immediately or transfer to a small jar, cover and refrigerate for up to a month.
