- Grated rind of 3 lemons
- Grated rind of 3 limes
- Juice of 6 lemons
- Juice of 6 limes
- 2 qts. boiling water
- 2 and 1/4 cups sugar
- cold water
- ice cubes
- Combine the rind and juice and let it stand overnight.
- In a sauce pan pour the boiling water over the sugar and stir to dissolve.
- Bring to a boil for five minutes.
- Combine the syrup with the lemon juice mixture.
- To serve dilute lemon/limeade syrup with equal parts of cold water.
- Serve over ice.
