Apple Pancakes
Ingredients
2 medium tart apples | ||
2 cups flour | ||
3 tbs sugar | ||
1 tbs baking powder | ||
1/2 tsp salt | ||
1/2 tsp cinnamon | ||
1 and 1/2 cups milk | ||
1/2 tsp cinnamon | ||
1/3 tsp vanilla | ||
3 tbs butter | ||
brown sugar | ||
maple syrup |
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Peel, core and thinly slice apples.
- In a mixing bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder, slat, and cinnamon.
- Add milk and vanilla and mix until smooth.
- Melt butter in a 12 inch oven proof skillet.
- Arrange apples in the bottom of the pan and pour batter over.
- Bake until apples are golden, about 15 minutes.
- Turn by flipping pancake over on a large plate, then sliding it back into the pan.
- Continue baking until the other side is golden and pancake is cooked through, about 10to 15 minutes.
- Remove from pan and sprinkle with brown sugar and sere with maple syrup.
