Lone Star Barbecue Sauce
Ingredients
1/2 cup chopped onions | ||
1 tbs bacon drippings or canola oil | ||
2 tbs red wine vinegar | ||
1/4 cup lemon juice | ||
1/4 cup molasses | ||
1 cup chili sauce | ||
1 tsp black pepper | ||
1 tsp Dijon mustard | ||
1/4 cup ketchup |
- Saute the onions in the drippings or oil until caramelized.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Use to baste meats or as a table sauce.
