Bananas Foster


  • 1/2 stick of butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 bananas, sliced
  • 2 ozs banana liqueur
  • 4 ozs rum
  • ground cinnamon
  • vanilla ice cream
  • Melt butter in a sauce pan.
  • Add brown sugar and stir to form a creamy paste
  • Let mixture caramelize over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in bananas, liqueur and rum. Remove from heat and ignite carefully.
  • Agitate to keep flame burning.
  • Add a few pinches of cinnamon to the flame.
  • Let flame burn out and serve at once over ice cream.
