Meringue Cake Frosting


  • 1 tbs meringue powder
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 2 tsps vanilla
  • 2 lbs powdered sugar
  • Beat together meringue powder, sugar and water until stiff peaks form.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the margarine, shortening and vanilla.
  • Slowly beat in the powdered sugar.
  • Add the meringue to the mixture and beat about 5 minutes, until light and fluffy.
