Mixed Lettuce Salad
Ingredients
1/2 cup red bell peppers | ||
1/2 cup grated carrots | ||
1 medium onion, sliced thin | ||
2 cups mayonnaise | ||
2 tbs sugar | ||
kosher salt and fresh black pepper to taste | ||

8 slices crisp bacon, crumbled | ||
1 package of frozen peas, thawed | ||
1/2 head iceberg lettuce, shredded |
- Combine the sugar and mayonnaise, then mix well.
- In a large salad bowl add the remaining ingredients.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the dressing to the lettuce a little at a time and gently mix.
- Reserve extra dressing for later use.
- Refrigerate covered for at least one hour before serving.
