Arkansas Horseradish Barbecue Sauce
Ingredients
1/2 cup canola oil | ||
2 tbs prepared horseradish | ||
1/2 cup celery, minced | ||
1/2 cup green pepper, minced | ||
1 clove garlic, minced | ||
2 tbs Worcestershire sauce | ||
2 tbs brown sugar | ||
2 tsp kosher salt | ||
1 tsp Tabasco sauce | ||
1 cup ketchup | ||
1/2 cup vinegar | ||
1 tsp chili powder | ||
2 tsp dry mustard | ||
juice of 1 lemon |
- Combine all ingredients in a large sauce pan.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
- Cook for about 30 minutes.
- Allow to cool slightly then use as a basting or table sauce,
