Asian Barbecue Sauce


  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2/3 cup dry sherry
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbs cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbs fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tsp five spice powder
  • 1 cup water
This is an Asian inspired Barbecue sauce that works equally well on chicken, beef or pork.
  • Add all ingredients to a sauce pan and cook over medium heat until sugar has dissolved.
  • Remove from heat and cool slightly.
  • May be used as a marinade and or basting sauce.
