Smokey Barbecue Sauce
Ingredients
1/2 cup vinegar | ||
1 cup ketchup | ||
2 tbs liquid smoke | ||
3 tbs Worcestershire sauce | ||
1 tsp kosher salt | ||
1 tsp black pepper | ||
1 tsp Tabasco sauce | ||
3 tbs brown sugar | ||
2 tsp dry mustard | ||
3 tbs dry white wine | ||
1 tbs chili powder | ||
1/2 cup tomato juice | ||
2 tbs onion, minced | ||
1 tsp garlic powder | ||
1 bay leaf | ||
1 tbs paprika |
- Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to simmer and cook for 1 hour.
- Use as a basting or a table sauce.
- Brush on meat during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
