Baharat Arabic Spice

Ingredients

1 tbs paprika
1 tbs ground black pepper
1 tbs cumin
1/2 tbs clove
1/2 tbs clove
1/2 tbs nutmeg
1 tbs coriander
1 tbs cardamom
The word Baharat simply means “spice” in Arabic. It’s a common North African spice mix in Lebanon, Syria, Israel and Jordan.
  • In a bowl mix all ingredients well.
  • Use to season lamb, chicken, pork or beef.
  • It also works well with fish, tomato sauces, soups and lentil dishes.
  • Recipe may be doubled.
