Sauteed Soft Shell Crabs


  • 12 soft shell crabs, cleaned
  • kosher salt and fresh cracked black pepper to taste
  • flour
  • canola oil for frying
  • Dry crabs with paper towels.
  • Sprinkle all over with salt and pepper.
  • Lightly coat with flour, knocking off any excess.
  • Cook crabs in a frying pan in just enough oil to prevent sticking.
  • Fry until browned, about 5 minutes on each side.
