Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg
  • 2 and 1/4 cups flour
  • 2 and 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Sift the sugars over the butter in a large bowl, then cream together until fluffy.
  • Add the egg and vanilla and mix well on low.
  • Add the flour, cream of tartar and baking soda.
  • Beat until the dough forms a ball.
  • Shape the dough into 1 inch balls and flatten with a glass dipped in sugar.
  • Bake on an un-greased cook sheets for 7-9 minutes.
