Sugar Cookies
Ingredients
2 sticks butter, softened | ||
1/2 cup powdered sugar | ||
1/2 cup powdered sugar | ||
1 egg | ||
1 egg | ||
2 and 1/4 cups flour | ||
2 and 1/4 cups flour | ||
1/2 tsp baking soda |
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Sift the sugars over the butter in a large bowl, then cream together until fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla and mix well on low.
- Add the flour, cream of tartar and baking soda.
- Beat until the dough forms a ball.
- Shape the dough into 1 inch balls and flatten with a glass dipped in sugar.
- Bake on an un-greased cook sheets for 7-9 minutes.
