Maryland Steamed Blue Crabs
|1 cup Old Bay seasoning|
|3 cups white vinegar|
|1/4 cup black pepper|
|3 cups beer|
|3 dozen live Maryland blue crabs|
This is the Maryland way.
- Add the beer and vinegar to a large stock pot with a rack and tight fitting lid
- Add the crabs in layers and season each layer with black pepper and Old Bay seasoning.
- Bring the beer and vinegar to a boil and steam the crabs for 20-30 minutes.
- Serve hot.
