Mignonette sauce is a French preparation that is traditionally drizzled over oysters on the half shell.
- Using the edge of a sauce pan crush the peppercorns into coarse pieces.
- Add the peppercorns to a bowl, then add the shallots and red wine vinegar.
- Add a little kosher salt to taste and mix well.
- Use to drizzle over fresh oysters on the half shell.
