Brazilian Caipirinha Cocktail


  • 1 lime quartered
  • 2 tsp superfine sugar
  • 2 oz Cachaca rum

A Caipirinha is the national drink of Brazil. It is made us a sweet form of rum called Cachaca, along with sugar and lime.

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with the limes and sugar. Muddle to release the flavors.
  • Add the rum, and shake very well to mix.
  • Add ice cubes to an old fashioned glass and pour the rum mixture.
  • Makes 1 drink.
  • Recipe may be doubled or tripled.
