Caribbean Tamarind Sauce


  • 1/2 cup tamarind pulp (available at Caribbean and Asian markets)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 medium onion, minced
  • 1 garlic, clove chopped
  • 1 tsp Habanaero hot sauce
  • 2 tsp fresh cilantro chopped

This sauce is a wonderful the is perfect spread over seafood or chicken.

  • Add all ingredients to a food processor and process until smooth.
  • Serve over chicken or fish.
