Old Bay Fried Catfish


  • 2 lbs catfish fillets
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 3 tbs butter
  • canola oil
  • 2 tbs Old Bay Seasoning
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbs fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic salt


  • Add the Old Bay, paprika, parsley and garlic salt to the cornmeal and mix well.
  • Roll the catfish in the mixture, shaking off excess.
  • In a large frying pan, melt the butter along with a little canola oil.
  • Add the catfish to the pan and using medium heat fry until golden brown. 8-10 minutes per side.
