Chesapeake Bay Fried Soft Shell Crabs
- 12 soft shell crabs, cleaned
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp old bay seasoning
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- canola oil for frying
- Mix together the flour, salt, pepper, old bay and baking powder.
- Dredge crabs in the flour mixture to coat well.
- In a large frying pan, heat about 1/2 inch of oil to 375 degrees.
- Add the crabs and turn heat down to 350.
- Cook crabs until browned, about 4-5 minutes on each side.
