Jicama Appetizer with Chili and Lime


  • 1 (2 lb) Jicama¬†(available at Latin markets)
  • 1 tbs salt
  • 1 tbs chili powder
  • juice of 2 limes
  • Peel jicama and cut into 1/4 to 1/2 inch batons. Place in a bowl.
  • Mix the chili powder with the salt, then sprinkle over the jicama evenly. Mixing to combine well
  • Place jicama on a platter or on individual plates along with lime wedges.
  • To serve, squeeze a little lime juice over the jicama.
