Spicy Indian Kebabs
Ingredients
1 lb lean ground lamb | ||
1 cup chickpea or potato flour | ||
1 medium onion, chopped | ||
2 garlic cloves, minced | ||
2 tsp kosher salt | ||
1 tsp black pepper | ||
1 tsp cayenne pepper | ||
2 tsp ground cumin | ||
1 tsp ground coriander seed | ||
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated | ||
1/4 tsp ground cloves | ||
juice of 1 lime | ||
1/4 cup plain yogurt | ||
2 tsp melted butter |
- In a bowl combine all ingredients and knead thoroughly with hands to combine.
- Chill covered for several hours.
- Using water soaked skewers, form cylindrical kebabs and cook over hot charcoal, turning frequently to cook evenly. About 8-10 minutes.
- Serve with tomatoes and cucumbers.
