Herring in Cream Sauce
|2 (8oz) jars pickled herring|
|3/4 pint sour cream|
|4 tbs liquid from herring|
|1/4 cup heavy cream|
|3 tbs sugar|
|1 spanish onion, thinly sliced|
- Drain herring and pat dry, reserving liquid from the jar.
- Blend together the sour cream, 4 tbs of the reserved liquid, cream and sugar.
- Add the onion and herring, stir to coat with the sauce and refrigerate until ready to serve.
