Vietnamese Nuoc Cham Dipping Sauce
Ingredients
3 tbs lime juice | ||
2 tbs sugar | ||
1/2 cup water | ||
2 and 1/2 tbs fish sauce | ||
2 cloves garlic, minced | ||
2 Thai chilies, seeded and chopped | ||
optional: cilantro and or mint leaves |
This is a dipping that is commonly used in Vietnam to dip spring rolls and the like.
Directions:
- Combine the lime juice, sugar and water, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
- Add the fish sauce, garlic, chilies and cilantro and mint if using.
- Taste and adjust flavors as desired.
