Vietnamese Nuoc Cham Dipping Sauce
|3 tbs lime juice|
|2 tbs sugar|
|1/2 cup water|
|2 and 1/2 tbs fish sauce|
|2 cloves garlic, minced|
|2 Thai chilies, seeded and chopped|
|optional: cilantro and or mint leaves|
This is a dipping that is commonly used in Vietnam to dip spring rolls and the like.
- Combine the lime juice, sugar and water, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
- Add the fish sauce, garlic, chilies and cilantro and mint if using.
- Taste and adjust flavors as desired.
