Brazilian Mortadella Sandwich
Ingredients
2 lbs mortadella, sliced | ||
1 lb provolone cheese, sliced | ||
4 sour dough rolls | ||
1/4 cup mayonnaise | ||
1/4 cup Dijon mustard | ||
kosher salt and black pepper to taste |
- In a bowl combine the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard and mix well.
- Cook the mortadella on a grill or saute pan for about 3-4 minutes. Top with provolone and melt slightly.
- On the bottom of each sour dough roll add 1/2 lb of mortadella and 1/4 lb of provolone.
- Spread each sandwich with the mayonnaise/Dijon mixture, and top with the remaining roll.
- Makes 4 sandwiches.
