Maple Walnut Apple Cobbler


  • 6-8 large tart apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup gingersnap crumbs
  • 1 tbs flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup


  • Arrange half of the apple slices in a buttered baking dish.
  • Combine sugar, ginger snap crumbs, flour, cinnamon, salt, nuts and butter.
  • Spread half of the mixture over the apples.
  • Layer with the remaining apples, then top with remaining crumb mixture.
  • Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.
  • Heat the maple syrup to almost a boiling point, then pour over the cobbler.
  • Bake for an additional 15 minutes.
