Steamed Chinese Meatballs


  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 tbs soy sauce
  • 1 tbs dry sherry
  • 2 scallions, minced, white and green parts
  • 2 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp cornstarch


  • Mix all ingredients together and form small meatballs, about half the size of a golf ball.
  • Place the meatballs in a steamer basket over boiling water and steam for about 30 minutes or until cooked through.
  • Serve atop raw mustard or mixed greens.
