|3 and 1/2 cups ap flour|
|2 and 1/2 cups cornmeal|
|2 tbs baking powder|
|2 tsp sugar|
|4 cups milk|
|6 tbs vegetable oil|
|4 large eggs|
|1 tsp pure vanilla extract (optional)|
You may serve these waffles topped with savory ingredients or if you are going to serve them with syrup, add 1 tsp of pure vanilla extract to the batter.
- In a large bowl mix the dry ingredients, then add the milk, oil and eggs and mix well.
- Pour the batter onto a hot waffle iron and cook according to the waffle irons instructions.
- Set on a plate or in a warm oven and serve as desired.
- Makes about 14 waffles.
