Asian Shrimp Appetizer


  • 1/2 cup salad oil
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup dry sherry
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 3 tbs fresh ginger
  • 1 lb shrimp


  • Make a marinade, mixing the oil, soy sauce, sherry, garlic and ginger.
  • Peel and devein the shrimp and add to the marinade.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, turning occasionally.
  • Cook the shrimp over hot coals or broil in the oven of about 3 minutes per side.
