Caramel Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Combine first 4 ingredients in a heavy sauce pan.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture reaches 220 degrees. 20-30 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Stir in butter, whipping cream and vanilla.
  • Serve over ice cream.
  • Can be stored up to 2 weeks.
